This is one of the coolest boats on the Thames. Quite an old riveted steel tug boat. Small but very capable. Now seems to be owned by Salters of Oxford. I remember it working on the River in the 90s as part of one of the riparian owner service companies doing bank repair works. It's got a 6 pot in there I think it's a Thornycroft (Leyland I guess) but could be a ford 6D. Or may have been repowered. I just like the way it is so small and unassuming yet so capable of doing the job. Lovely. |

They are (normally) used by Salters as passenger trip boats in addition to their large steamers. I assume they are out of water on account of the covid shutdown. |
