Staff members of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors.
Michael Walker
Manager
Michael has been a funeral director for over 24 years serving the people of Jones County and the surrounding areas.
Michael and his wife Olivia, who is an accountant for West Point Baptist Church, are members of Venture Church. They reside in the Moselle Community with their two children. Their son Perry a Graduate of Jones College and their daughter Laurel is a biology major at Mississippi State.
Michael is involved with Laurel Rotary Club, Laurel Kiwanis, and a number of local church ministries. He has helped mentor young men and women in youth ministry programs and serves on a local college advisory committee.
Michael knows the importance of gaining the trust of the families he serves. He will always be available and willing to help others in their time of need.
Wesley Moss
Funeral Director/ Embalmer
Wesley has been with Colonial Chapel since 2013. He serves the families of our community as a funeral director. He earned his mortuary license from Northwest Mississippi Community College. Wesley is a member of Laurel Kiwanis and attends Pleasant Home Baptist Church in Soso.
He welcomes any opportunity to serve you and your family with your funeral needs.
Brandon Wilson
Funeral Director/ Embalmer
Brandon is our staff Funeral Director, Arranger and Embalmer. He is an alumnus of West Jones High School (2003), Jones College (2006) and William Carey University (2010). Most recently, Brandon graduated from East Mississippi Community College (2021) with a degree in Mortuary Science. Brandon is also a member of Brothers 4 Quartet and the Pastor of Pine Ridge Baptist Church. He lives in Laurel with his wife Carrie, and their three children, Anna, Leah and Clark.
David Ainsworth
Pre-Need Counselor
David is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer with over 30 years of service experience. David's wife, Diane Ainsworth, is a retired teacher with the Jones County School District. They live in the Shady Grove Community and are members of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He and his wife have one daughter and son-in-law; Meghann and Josh Reeves who live in Arlington, Texas. They have one granddaughter, Maren Grace Reeves.
Burl Hall
Funeral Director
Burl is a lifelong resident of Jones County and married to Faye Williams Hall. He has 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
He is a member of West Ellisville Baptist Church and serves as a church Trustee. He enjoys traveling with his church, family, and friends. He served in the military for six years and has been a Deputy Coroner for the past 20 years and has been elected Jones County Coroner.
Burl has been the manager of Ellisville Funeral Home for the past 11 years and prior years at Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville, MS. Burl has served the families for over 50 years.
Charles ‘Stanley’ McNeil
Funeral Director / Embalmer
Stanley has been a Funeral Director and Embalmer for over 30 years. He is married to Marie Emfinger McNeil a retired Registered Nurse from Meadville, MS. They live in Louin, MS, and attend Louin Baptist Church.
Stanley has one daughter Lacie Ann McNeil and two grandsons Lathan “Gator” Reid, and Lucian “Bubba” Stanvitch who attend Sylva-Bay in Bay Springs, MS. 3- sons, Patrick, Scotty, and the late David Campbell and 8–grandchildren.
Stanley has been with Colonial Chapel for the past 8 years.
Keith Shelby
Preneed Counselor / Funeral Director
Keith Shelby is a native of Jasper county along with his wife, Tommie Ann (Dodie). They reside in the Moss community for over 20 years and are members of the Moss Church of God.
They enjoy working on their farm with all of Dodie’s animals. Keith enjoys the Outdoors and all types of hunting and fishing. Dodie has been serving Jones County working with Hattiesburg Clinic with Laurel Dialysis for over 25 Years.
Keith has been serving his community and the surrounding areas through the funeral home for over 25 years.
He served as the coroner for Jasper county for 8 years and currently serves as a deputy coroner for Smith, Jones, and Jasper counties.

Cliff Jenkins
Funeral Director
Cliff Jenkins is a 14 year resident of Jones County and is a Funeral Director with 6 years of experience at Colonial Chapel. Cliff also serves as the pastor of Temple Baptist Church in Laurel and enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children. Cliff welcomes the opportunity to help you or your family with any funeral needs.

Patricia J. Landrum, daughter of the late Laz and Ruthie Jefcoat lives in the Calhoun Community near Laurel, MS. She enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grand-children.
She loves cooking for them especially on holidays and important events. She is a member of West Ellisville Baptist Church, Magnolia Cruisers and John County Travelers.
She has been with Colonial Chapel for over 5 years.
