MASTER THE BASE: HOW TO MAKE DEVILED EGGS
You can cook your own eggs, or you can buy peeled hard-boiled eggs from a brand such as Eggland's Best. They're usually around the dairy case. Then follow this deviled egg master recipe.
1. Halve 6 cooked eggs lengthwise with a sharp knife, wiping the blade after each cut.
2. Scoop the yolks into a large bowl. Add 2 Tbsp mayo, plain Greek yogurt, or sour cream. (Greek yogurt has a little more protein, but it doesn't matter at this amount. Just pick your favorite.) Using the back of a fork, mash it all up. Then drizzle in 2 Tbsp canola or grapeseed oil, stirring constantly until it's creamy and fluffy. Season with salt.
